Frequently asked questions
Why are all skip sizes approximate?
The size of our skips our approximate due to the size actually relating to its capacity. Therefore, they are manufactured to different heights and thicknesses. However, at Skip Hire Leeds we understand that space isn't always in abundance so we are happy to give you the exact measurements of the skip you have ordered if you request it via email or over the phone.
How much space does the lorry need?
At Skip Hire Leeds, our Lorry requires 3m of space to be able to safely and efficiently deliver and remove your skip.
How much can I put in my skip.
Level loads only, please! It is very important that you do not overfill your skip. We only accept skips that are loaded to the height of its sides. All loads are at the discretion of the driver. He can be fined and/or lose his licence if he is carrying an unsafe load so has the right to ask for adjustments to be made or to refuse to take it away.
How long can I keep my skip.
2 weeks is the normal length of time our skips are hired out. At Skip Hire Leeds we understand that jobs can run on and that it is not always easy to predict how long you will need equipment for so we are happy to negotiate a longer time frame if necessary.
